Stephanie Jacobs, LPC

Putting the pieces of your life together can feel like trying to do a puzzle without the picture on the box—frustrating, overwhelming, and, let’s be honest, not very fun when you're doing it alone. That’s where I come in.

I specialize in walking alongside people navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, divorce, infertility/fertility challenges, stress, anger management, relationship issues, codependency/attachment issues, and faith-related concerns. I also run an in-person Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults who need extra support through group therapy. And for couples looking to start their marriage on solid ground, I offer premarital counseling using Save Your Marriage Before It Starts—because thriving in love takes more than just good intentions.

In therapy, we’ll identify what matters most to you, set realistic goals, and build emotional tools that actually work. Whether you're managing current stressors or digging into deeper patterns from the past, we’ll move at your pace. I work with teens (15+) and adults, and tailor each session to your unique needs.

My approach is holistic, practical, and personal. We’ll look at all areas of your life to find what’s really driving your distress—and we’ll create solutions that feel like they fit. You’ll get my signature mix of no-nonsense Jersey energy, genuine compassion, and the occasional dose of humor (because therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy to be helpful).

Let’s figure this out—together.

(Erin Pawlak, Stephanie Jacobs, Intake Staff, Billing Staff and Website Manager) From the billing and administrative staff to the counselors, The Behavioral Wellness Group is a well-organized, clinically experienced and compassionate group! I highly recommend licensed professional counselors, Erin Pawlak and Stephanie Jacobs! They are kind, compassionate, attentive and skilled. The IOP programs are amazing options for adolescents and adults and one the only or few of their kind in the Bluffton, SC area. Another positive to the group is that they are in network with many different insurance companies and their billing practices are transparent and seamless unlike so many other groups in the area, they also offer other billing options such as Care Credit or billing installment plans if necessary. Family estrangement, simply put, is a loss or a termination of a relationship that previously existed between family members. An estrangement can occur between two people or multiple family members. Navigating End of Semester Stress

“Ugh, I have so many final exams to study for. I have to pack for winter break too and still maintain taking care of my health”. This is often one of the many thoughts college students experience as the end of the semester approaches. The words “finals week” and “stress” are almost always used in the same sentence during this tough time of the semester. Although there are many stressors among college students such as finances, living on their own…

“I WAS TRYING TO ACT NORMAL…”

I heard this piece of a conversation between two friends as I jogged by them in the park the other day, “I was trying to act normal…” Then I passed them but not without being prompted to consider what that really means. So many of us appear “normal” or even beautiful, talented and rich such as the late Kate Spade. Yet many of us struggle with fitting in, appearing normal or masking our struggles. I facilitate the mental health, Dialectical…
