Lisa McDonough, Psy.D

Lisa McDonough, Psy.D, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology. Her clinical practice includes individual, couples, and group therapy, with a strong foundation in somatic experiencing and trauma-informed care. Lisa has certification and specialty in Somatic EMDR. Lisa works from a holistic, person-centered framework, adapting her approach to meet the specific needs of each client. She has extensive experience co-facilitating Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and works with clients ages 8 and up, with particular expertise in treating Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (cPTSD).

Lisa is passionate about helping clients build practical, embodied tools that support nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and authentic self-expression. She integrates psychoeducation, creativity, and a deeply attuned relational presence into her work, honoring the therapeutic journey as a process of self-discovery rather than a fixed destination. She sees herself as a compassionate partner in her clients’ growth, walking alongside them as they navigate their own unique life paths.

Lisa holds a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology and an MA in Psychology from Meridian University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Organizational Behavior. With a background as an executive, family, and adolescent coach and leadership facilitator, she brings decades of experience in helping individuals tap into their strengths and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
