"Michael, I can't even begin to thank you. You have been so wonderful since day one. I can see that you honestly and sincerely care about each and every person who passes through your rooms. You went above and beyond just being my "IOP guy." No matter what issue I ran into you were always there for me to help find a solution. Whether it was medicine issues, anxiety, cravings, etc. You were always, always there. I am so thankful to have met you."
"I've struggled with alcoholism for quite a long time. The DBT skills I've learned in group sessions at Behavioral Wellness Group have given me the ability to work through my cravings and as an added bonus the everyday stress of life. These skills coupled with attending 12 step program meetings have given me strength to maintain my recovery."
"My Therapists are not only competent clinically, I know that they also care about me as a person. I know that they want me to succeed... Cathy was great. The program truly changed my life and my future. I learned great skills that I will use my whole life."
"Cathy, This program was a saving grace in a very dark time in my life. It was so comforting to be able to share with others who were going through similar issues and really understood me."
"Erin, You and your group were instrumental in stopping a downward slide that we weren't sure would ever be stopped. We will forever be grateful."
"Thank you Erin. Thank you also for allowing parents to sample group. It is a wonderful program you run and huge benefit to the young adults who are able to attend. I am very thankful it exists."
"Dr. Glovan, I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for the “gift” of your Health and Wellness IOP. I have struggled with periods of depression throughout my lifetime and was always able to pull thru by using some simple techniques of my own. In no way could I have dealt on my own with the feelings that I was experiencing when I first met you seven weeks ago. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your expertise, encouragement, humor and wisdom. May God continue to use you to help and heal others."
"Dr. Glovan is by far the best psychologist I have ever met. He is everything I’ve been looking for for years… I am so thankful I found this practice and got to meet so many amazing folks. Kim is an amazing receptionist… Please continue your great work, you are impacting and changing lives…Thank you."
"Stephanie did a great job with our group. I know that she genuinely cared about me and my progress in group. I would recommend Stephanie as a therapist/counselor to any of my family or friends. Stephanie Cerula is a priceless asset!"
"Erin, Although ......... may still have a long road ahead in her healing process, I am seeing improvements in her daily life, which I’m so thankful for to you. The weekly therapy sessions have really seemed to be a big part of her continual healing process. I can’t thank you enough for taking the extra time with her to help make sure she is moving in the right direction."
"Cathy, I am doing pretty good. Your class helped me so much, I actually miss coming to spend time with you and everyone. It was a safe zone where I felt comfortable and learned how to care for myself and deal with my illness. Please say hello to everyone for me. “
"Dr. Glovan, Just wanted to check in and provide an update. This job move was such a good thing for me!....and I haven’t cried in weeks! I’ve started taking care of all those little tasks at home that I was too paralyzed to do …I’m proud to have taken action on things that have been on my list for months. I feel strangely good, in a way that will take some getting used to. I can feel this inner sense of well-being that is foreign to me. …I’m also referring to my binder and using my skills. Thanks again for the support. Please give my best to the group..“
"Karen Conkey is doing a wonderful job with my Grandson, and I am very pleased, especially given the difficult situation he has at home. I have referred several people here to the Behavioral Wellness Group in general. Thanks “
"Cathy, Thanks so, so much for your help over these last several months. There aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am. I will truly miss seeing you, although I suspect we may run into oneanother while I'm doing aftercare."
"Dr. Glovan I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the work you have done with me over several years. Through 1on1 therapy and IOPs. I have learned so much about myself, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. I am healthy today and proud of my accomplishments in healing myself and of a better understanding of my relationship with my family. "
"Greetings, Dr. Glovan! February 3rd marked my one year graduation anniversary from your IOP. I have continued to work hard with Pegge to move forward in my life and can proudly say my suicidal ideations…which I have had every day for decades…still haven’t returned. My mental health is quite strong…For all you have done for me, there is a special place in my heart for you. May you smile so much your face aches and laugh so often you need to catch your breath. I wish you more happiness and love than you could possibly need or want in an entire lifetime."
"Dr. Glovan, First and foremost, thank you for allowing me into your group and for doing such a great job at leading our group. It does not take long to see that you are very experienced in your field and most importantly, you truly care about our well being and want us to live a healthier life. Your real life examples in class and your teaching style helps us become more comfortable with these skills and tools and I look forward to when using them is just second nature. I truly enjoyed the sessions and did get a lot out of them. This binder and other "cheat sheets" will have a special place in my office right at my side - this is all more important than any work materials I have."
"I participated in the Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program held by Michael Pollak, PCC, LICDC. I can honestly say that this program benefited me greatly. I have suffered greatly my entire life with dealing with my emotions, distress , self esteem, sobriety, stress and anger issues. This program has helped me manage all of them and helped me develop healthy coping skills. I have learned to stay sober, increase my self esteem, regulate my emotions and be more interpersonally effective. Michael is very professional and I believe him to be exceptional at leading the Dual Diagnosis IOP and at his profession. I am very grateful to have been referred to him and to the Behavioral Wellness Group. Also, that they immediately knew which program would benefit me. I highly recommend the Behavioral Wellness Group and especially Michael Pollak and the Dual Diagnosis IOP."
Stakeholder Testimonials
"At the conclusion of my conversation with the family pertaining to management, I then reviewed the excellent notes provided by Dr. Glovan. This was an outstanding evaluation covering multiple aspects of his clinical profile. I gather that Dr. Glovan is concerned about ADHD as well as generalized anxiety symptoms. He also provided a thoughtful review of potential cognitive and learning disability issues. I was clearly struck by the excellent details with which Dr. Glovan conducted his evaluation and the outcome in an excellent communication."
